The Clarke County Historical Association (CCHA) invites artists working in a variety of media to submit applications for our juried Art at the Mill Show!
NOTE: All work submitted MUST BE FOR SALE. Sales from the show help support the Clarke County Historical Association, including the Burwell-Morgan Mill.
Our exhibition offers emerging and established artists the opportunity to showcase their talents and latest works. We are committed to organizing and promoting “excellence in art” and offering a distinguished platform for all selected artists.

Adding Submissions
Once you are logged in, you may begin entering your submissions by clicking on the Add New Submission button.
A screen will display with fields for each piece
Make sure you click Submit Entry Details button at bottom.
Next you will add your image file for each piece of work. Image should be of art without mat or frame for 2Dwork.
NOTE on IMAGE FILE: Juried-In work will not only be on display at the Mill, but will also be displayed in an Online Gallery.
Make sure you submit a professional high-quality image both for jurying and for potential buyers to view your work at its best.
Accepted Media: Submissions must be original, non-reproduceable work not previously submitted and completed within the last two years.
2D ART: ORIGINAL two-dimensional work with pigment: Painting in Acrylic-Oil-Watercolor, Drawing, Encaustic, Printmaking, Pastel, Mixed Media.
IMPORTANT-FRAMING: Framing is an important consideration, make sure your work has suitable framing. Patrons consider framing when making a purchase.
3D Art: Original dimensional work: basketry, glasswork, pottery/ceramics, sculpture, woodworking.
NOTE: Due to space limitations and humidity in the Mill: No Photography or Fabric art.
DIMENSIONS
should be size of image/canvas – not framed size.
Selection process and artist notification:
The artistic work submitted by each artist is juried based upon the following criteria:
1. Body of Work: How well the images represent a point of view
2. Artistic Theme: Design, vision, creativity, originality
3. Technical Execution: Technique, skill, degree of difficulty, mastery of materials used
SALES ALLOCATION
The Clarke County Historical Association (CCHA) is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the history of Clarke County, including the Burwell-Morgan Mill. CCHA hosts and administers Art at the Mill.
CCHA receives 35% of the sales price of each piece, which helps fund the continued maintenance and operation of the Burwell-Morgan Mill and the Historical Association as well as the Sarah P. Trumbower Memorial Art Scholarship given annually to a Clarke County student who is pursuing a degree in art. The artist receives 65% of the sale price.
NOTE: DO NOT LEAVE ARTWORK AFTER SHOW
Any artwork unclaimed after thirty (30) days following the conclusion of Art Pick-Up will become the property of the Clarke County Historical Association (CCHA).
