Patricia Hafkemeyer

Patricia Hafkemeyer, originally from Connecticut, has lived in Burke, Virginia for 27 years. Her artistic journey revolves around capturing the essence of nature by presenting it in a way that resonates with viewers. Specializing primarily in watercolor painting, she delights in exploring, diverse techniques to achieve captivating visual effects. She is particularly drawn to detailed realism occasionally incorporating ink into her watercolor compositions. Her preferred subjects reflect a deep affinity for nature, encompassing, landscapes, florals, birds, trees, and animals. 

Pat has been an active member of The Loft Gallery in Occoquan, Virginia since 2018, where she has her studio.  She is a board member of the Springfield Art Guild, a member of the Potomac Valley Watercolorists, and the Virginia Watercolor Society.  Pat has chaired several art shows for the Springfield Art Guild.  She has been in many juried art shows to include: Art at the Mill in Millwood, Green Spring Gardens in Annandale, the Goodwin House in Alexandria, the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, The Franconia Government Center, Open Space Art Gallery in Woodbridge, and the Tryon Painters and Sculptors in Tryon, NC.
