Tara Folgate is a current resident in Arlington, Virginia. She is in her seventh year as an elementary school teacher and has her masters in Global Studies in Education. She grew up feeling that she was not creative or good at anything. Into adulthood she felt she did not belong to any group or have a strong identity. However, with the gift of time during the 2020 pandemic she was able to begin seriously painting and has since dedicated her free time to learning and focusing in on her craft. She believes that anyone can be an artist regardless of money or formal training as long as someone has the passion and drive for it.
