Marilyn Miyamoto

Artist Marilyn Miyamoto’s work features landscapes of the beautiful Virginia countryside, still life, and portraits. She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and continued her graduate studies at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and California State University at Long Beach. Marilyn focused primarily in Jewelry/Metalsmithing while in grad school but has transitioned to oil painting over the past decade.  She was art Teacher for Fairfax County Schools and was the recipient of the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Power of Art Award.  Marilyn Is the co-founder of Nova Plein Air Artists, member of Art League, Gallery 75, Artists in Middleburg, Falls Church Arts, and Oil Painters of America.  She has participated in many plein air festivals and shows in many local Virginia Galleries.
