Nancy Rabe

Nancy Kibler Rabe grew up in Strasburg, VA and currently lives in Winchester with her husband, Jerry.

Nancy started her painting journey over 24 years ago in acrylics. She also paints in oils, pastels, pastel pencil, gouache, watercolor, pen and colored  pencils. Painting in different mediums is a wonderful journey, always rewarding as well as challenging. She is a forever learner and admirer of all artists’ works, styles and artistic expression. Beauty and uniqueness is seen in every work of art.

She has participated in many classes and seminars with numerous instructors and online courses in all mediums, always learning and developing her own style. 

Nancy has:

-participated in juried show, “Art in the Barn” at Belle Grove.

-participated in “Art at the Mill” in Millwood, VA.

-participated in art shows at Strasburg Town Hall , Strasburg Museum, Strasburg Community Library and Shenandoah Arts Council.

-has had several paintings chosen for banners on the walking mall in Winchester.

-Displays in business windows when asked.

Several years ago she did several months of volunteer work with cancer patients in the Winchester area. The completed paintings now decorate the examination rooms at the Winchester Oncology Center. She was commissioned to do three large paintings for their waiting room.
