PATTY KENNEDY HUDSON
Opening one's eyes to see the simple beauty in nature and everyday objects, provides inspiration. Ever-changing light and color in the landscape around me are constant sources of amazement.
Since early childhood, painting has been Patty's passion. It continues today. Earning a BFA in Painting, Printmaking, and Ceramics at Memphis State University, provided her with exposure to different mediums for creativity. Shortly after college, raising a family became her focus. Once her sons started school, She became certified in K-12 Art Education which allowed her to work with children of all ages as well as developmentally challenged adults. Seeing anyone, regardless of abilities, take pride in their creation, was most rewarding. Currently working in a variety of mediums, depending on her surroundings, provides opportunities to expand and explore Patty's artistic interest.
As a relatively new resident to Virginia, the people Patty has met and the beauty that surrounds her, has rekindled her creative spirit. She is grateful for the support and encouragement of the Firnew Farm Artists Circle and the Art Guild of Greene County, which she is a member.
