Lisa Lange

I’ve been working with clay for over 30 years, creating wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces using both stoneware and porcelain clay bodies. I love the tactile nature of working with clay, and the meditative rhythm of wheel-throwing. My husband Kevin and I recently moved back to the Virginia countryside from San Juan Island, Washington. Living close to nature feeds my soul and informs my pottery. I strive to combine art, craft, and function by creating simple forms that focus on color, texture and pattern. I have a fine art degree in sculpture and art history, and a Masters in Communication.
