Ruth Ward

I am a plein air and studio artist & urban sketcher. I paint in oil, gouache, acrylic, pastel, and watercolor.. I live ten minutes from the Blandy Arboretum.  I'm a member of the Blandy Sketch Group and Blandy Plein Air Group, Artists in Middleburg, and the founder of Winchester, Virginia Urban Sketchers.  I feel the most inspired to paint by nature and enjoy the work of impressionist artists.  I'm an especially social artist and enjoy painting with others, and especially love it when people come to watch me paint and they feel what I am feeling.  It is a beautiful thing to share with other people.
