Valerie Piechocki

I began painting at the age of 68. Since then I have painted well over 100 dog and cat portraits in acrylics many of which can be seen on instagram at Valeriethedogpainter. I have also branched out into the world of landscapes and soft pastels and have delighted in the texture and expression I have been able to convey with pastels. 
I paint 2 days a week at Senior Centers in Carroll County Maryland and am enrolled in a studio class at Carroll Community College.   I have been encouraged by my instructors to exhibit my work.   My two favorite hobbies are painting and buying art supplies- many of which I end up donating to the senior centers and giving to my fellow art friends.
