Liz Hackney

 Liz Hackney has been painting in a variety of media for over forty years her current focus is a limited palette of Cobra water-mixable oils, cold wax and palette knives. She makes her own substrates glueing muslin or weavers cloth to wood panels, followed by several coats of gesso to create a firm surface to create loose and dimensional paintings. Liz enjoys plein air painting around Winchester capturing the subtle color changes in her atmospheric poetic vision.
